He had these circular scale eruptions all over his tail & they were spreading & getting bigger. The vet gave us antibiotics that we had to inject in his back everyday for 3 weeks with small diabetic needles. Although the erruptions never went away because they had damaged the scales from what appeared underneath, this did stop the spreading or worsening of this condition. Plus I prayed a lot about it because he was such a dear little guy. Anyway, I assume it was a bacterial infection as it was treated with antibiotics, but it may have been a virus. This cure did not cost that much, especially because I gave the shots myself. I hope this helps. Good luck & let us know what happens.
xta: Thanks for responding so quickly. Please read my answer to BabyHerp for additional info, ok? If I had to give Ryu daily injections, I think I'd die, but I'd do it to save $. I appreciate your concern, xta, & will let you know the outcome.
