Depends on the age of the ig you are getting. Think LONG TERM. Igs can get up to 6 feet long. One of our cages is 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide. If its a baby ig, I wouldn't go any smaller than a 55 gallon tank and that will only last you about a year or so.
