Thanks for your ideas. After reading all that, I think maybe it is after all stress.

I think Ziggie is too young to lay eggs. She's only about 7-8 months old, 8"SVT. The doc said not until next year.

The one thing that has changed is the weather- been very hot up here and consequently been running the AC a little harder. The house seems to be coolest in the basement where her cage is.

BTW, she readily accepted some turnip greens from my hand this AM. She's never allowed me to hand-feed her before, so I take that as a sign she's getting more used to me. I'll keep you posted. Should I add more heat?
