: some of you may remember a couple of months ago i posted here looking for care info for a madagascan rock iguana (oplurus firinesis, or something close to that!) today on my way home from a class, i decided to check the pet store it was at to see if they had sold it or not. i walked back to the reptile section of hte pet store, and there i saw a rock iguana, it was healthy looking and in the process of a shed. i asked the lady about it, to make sure and she told me it was the same one. let me tell you how pleasantly surprised i was that the pet store actually nursed this lizard back to health. when i took in the care info that i got from my post here, the lizard was basically on deaths door. it was so emiciated. its legs were twigs and its tail which like a ggi should be thick and well rounded, was totally flat and bony. its color was bad, and it had not shed in over 2 mos since the store recieved the animal. the lizard is absolutely beautiful now. his skin is a light bluish gray color. when i saw him he was in the process of hunting down a cricket. his eyes are bright, last time i held him he just layed in my palm, this time he was so fiesty. he even jumped out of my hands! it was amazing. i was so pleased with him! i was considering buying him before and i am definitely considering it again. thanx to all who helped with the info search!
