Suggestion, start at one end of the house....go room to room. At each room you must have a flashlight and check "every inch" of the room. Once the room has been fully checked....SHUT the door to it...and go to the next room. My fear would be that the iguana has gotten into a spot that it can't back out of. Iguana's are very close to the bases of a fish...going forward is easy......backing up isn't. Iguana's spikes, scales, behind legs, all don't easily bend forward for the purpose of backing up. I don't want to really worry you but I am sure I have done this. Free roamers are subjected to this problem of areas that are small and only have a "one way in" entrance. If the iguana can get out of the spot....chances are they will do damage to their spikes at the least, from backing out of the spot.
I hope your ig is just layin' around somewhere taking life easy! Please let us know when he shows up........we all here are worry warts! I'll be thinking about your iguana all day now!
