humidity monitor

I'm looking for a device that will do the same thing with humidity as a thermastat does with heat. I don't know what it would be called either and i think that is part of the reason i'm having such a diffacult time finding one. I wanted to connect it to a humidifier or something similar.

Anyone know what it is called... or even bettter, where i can find one at a reasonable price?
