New laws in NYC forcing ig out of house...please help...

I have a male iggy 3 years old, good color, likes to be pet, not
(too) picky an eater (doesn't like crunchies much). He's never
bitten anyone, and never lashed me (thwaps side of cage when upset).
He's not crazy about being picked up (if he can't look down and see
his cage, he'll jump), and his claws are very sharp, so proper armor
is necessary. He LOVES to be pet, and isn't picky about who pets him.

Well, now our wonderful mayor Adolf Ghouliani has banned iguana's
from NYC, and my iggy is known by other residents in our building.
I'm afraid of Animal Control showing up and confiscating him to
gods-know-where. Can someone help?
