I know exactly what you're saying; every time I found out that I was doing something else wrong, it not only made me feel like crap but made me question my fitness as an ig owner. But hang in there; this forum is one of the best places I know of to get *correct* info on ig care, and I've seen dramatic changes in Zen by following advice found here...
Zen was hooked on romaine, broccoli and american cheese when I got her, so to get her to eat healthier I would mix really small pieces of the first two in with better veggies and fruit. After a while she didn't even need that enticement to eat; now she eats like a pig!
The single most effective thing I found to increase her appetite is upping the heat. Even now if I let the heat drop just a little too low she'll go off her food.
Higher heat also helped with more regular pooping; she used to go for a couple of weeks straight, now I'm changing the poop-bath-box every night.
Would your vet be able to check out the other sugestion for you, that she might be gravid?
Above all, don't get discouraged: remember, you've already got the most important part down - you *care* whether you're doing a good job. Good luck and keep us posted!
