I know exactly what you're saying; every time I found out that I was doing something else wrong, it not only made me feel like crap but made me question my fitness as an ig owner. Zen was hooked on romaine, broccoli and american cheese when I got her, so to get her to eat healthier I would mix really small pieces of the first two in with better veggies and fruit. After a while she didn't even need that enticement to eat; now she eats like a pig!

The single most effective thing I found to increase her appetite is upping the heat. Even now if I let the heat drop just a little too low she'll go off her food.
Higher heat also helped with more regular pooping; she used to go for a couple of weeks straight, now I'm changing the poop-bath-box every night.

Would your vet be able to check out the other sugestion for you, that she might be gravid?
