You could tell what brand you are using LOL I say that because people may have had more success with other brands. He may be reacting to an odor in it that he doesn't care for (phew!) or a taste he doesn't like (yucky p-tooey)

Before you dump everything and start over you could try a trick. Does he like bread? You could mix the vitamin in with, oh say baby food, then dip a bit of bread in this and see if he'll take it. When mine needed Baytril she took it quite willingly if I dipped bread into the Baytril then let her have the bread from my hand.

Can't help with the jerk problem LOL My female is like that and the male is a sweetie...go figure!
