I've read a few different places that ig's are like puppies and that they need to be wormed. The only vet in my area that will see my ig is not a reptile only vet. She does know more about them than the other vets at her office so is the only one that takes the appointments but I know I need to find a reptile only vet. Anyway she seen Jade when we first got him then again about 6 weeks later. I asked her on my second visit if he needed to be treated for internal parasites. She said in her opinion he is fine. She said it has been long enough that if he had parasites he would be showing signs. She said his color and alertness wouldn't be so well if he had parasites for that amount of time. I'm wondering, within a 6 week time would Jade show signs of parasites. I know pups show signs in that amount of time but not sure about ig's. Jade is very alert, bright eyes and active. His color is bright green turning deep green in the sun. His head is a blueish color with green on his eye lids. His stripes are well defined, dark brown rings on his tail with dark green lines on his body. He doesn't act sick at all but I don't know if ig's show signs of parasites like dogs and cats.
Thanks
