Glad I'm not the only one...I saw a bearded dragon on a tv show ballooning up, but in that case the behaviour was combined with a mouth gape, apparently designed to make it look dangerous to potential predators. I'm not entirely sure was ballooning up and playing dead is meant to discourage, though...unless it's to say gee, I'm too big for you to swallow, go find something else? :-)
