: Thanks for all the info, again!
: I don't mean to seem ignorant, but what do LP & LE stand for?

It actually stands for where the cage locations are. Dave has hundreds of blue hybrids, not to mention rhinos, cubans, cayman bracs and a lot of other stuff. This way he can track who is who's baby, so people who want to buy
unrelated bloodlines to mate them are able to.

If you get a baby cyclura from him, the LP, LC, LE, etc is followed by numbers, indicating which year, which generation captive bred(1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc),
all sorts of other information. He will also give you the egg(shell) the baby hatched from.

: Also, how safe would it be to ship an ig in the winter? You've been really helpfull, and I thank you for that.

Should be OK as long as it is sent overnight service, I shipped an iguana internationally to Tokyo in the middle of wintertime, using 50 hour heat packs.

Not only did the iguana do great, the thermometer that traveled with her showed the temps inside her box stayed within approx 70-80F during the whole trip.

Take care
