Don't know Sue...thats why I didn't post anything! Haven't read a thing regarding temperature controlling sex determination in green iguanas...prolly cuz 1) not many people breed green iguanas in US...and 2) sex in iguanas is not determined till around 1+ years old..don't think anyone keeps the babies long enough to provide substantial data.I bet not even the importers in Guatemala know what the heck they got let alone trying to "control" ig gender by temperature. Not profitable for em the reasearch end of it anyway. Many species of reptiles (turts, crocs)supposedly higher incubation temps =female and lower incubation temps= male & mixed type with a "average" range. Since incubation ranges...are from 80-95 degrees...then for the heck of it..if I were in the ig breeding business and kept track of my babies! I would try for one or the other! Maybe even leavin it at 90degF and see what happens! Must be neat...Hey Sue you would know more about this than ME!!!...don't you breed beared dragons??? Might be similar..but don't know a thing a bds either...
Anyway...wish I could help...but alas..Im at a loss!
