You can beg to differ all you would like but the reality of it is, while they may all seem to place nice now, that can change at any time without warning!

We recently adopted what we believe is a Jack Russel Terrier puppy -noted hunting dogs. He loves the iguanas, kisses them if we let hm get close enough, guards the bathtub when they are in it and in particular seems to love Dharma -he's always sitting infront of her enclosure, "knocking" on the front to get her attention, etc. While I think this is terribly cute, I'm not naive enough to believe that there is no chance things could change one day and then we'd have big problems. We also have an adopted iguana that was so severely injured by the cat living in her former household that she is missing an eye.

So, all things being taken into consideration, it's much safer not to allow different species to house together and it's not a good idea to allow unsupervised free roam.
