Wow, did I ever open a can of worms!!!

Now don't get my blood pressure going. I am already three days past my due date heading into the fourth and crabby.

The only reason I suggested that Vanessa remove that info is due to the current controversy over the subject of igs and animal protein. Most of the people that I trust have started saying in the last couple of years that it is a no no. My concern with Vanessa mentioning it on her site was the unintiated might read that it was ok for igs to eat them and intentionally feed them not knowing about the current controversy. They also might feed them as an extremely large part of the diet since most lizards do eat bugs. I reviewed her site trying to keep in mind the information that a newbie might take from it, I also tried to view it from the point that it was the only site that newbie visited.

Somehow all this evolved into a discussion on the morals of importing igs. I am not going to state my viewpoint as from reading the posts it is obvious no one is going to change anyone else's mind.

I will say that in the true style of this forum with a topic so many feel so passionately about that it didn't turn as nasty as it could have, or would have at other places.

BUT, NO ONE IS GOING TO CHANGE ANYONE ELSE'S MIND AT THIS POINT!

So for the sake of the newbie's out there that are going to buy that cute little iglet and then go hunting for info let us get back to Vanessa's original post. I did not read in any of the other posts any reviews of her site.

Please everyone take a deep breath, and go visit Vanessa's site. Try and look at it from the stance that you just bought a cute iglet and have no idea how to care for it. I am certainly no expert and am sure some of you more experienced owners (HD, BabyHerp, Skinny, Des, Tracie, Cirsisue, and Iguanamomma) could offer some really good pointers, hints or suggestions to Vanessa. I am sure that Vanessa would really appreciate it!!

Remember that right now education is the key.

Once again, Vanessa if you are reading this I liked your site. Thought for a newbie it would be good reading. Keep up the good work.

Kayo (breath in, breath out)
