If there is NO herp vet, you might just want to print out or write down those consulting vet phone numbers for whatever vet you decide on. Because treating reptiles is such a special area, I don't think a regular vet would be offended if you made the suggestion :) Is your city close to the US border? You might want to check those lists for a US herp vet nearby.

BTW if you've never transported an iguana before just send up an S.O.S. and someone here will catch it and help you out.
