My Little Iggy

Spoke with the vet this evening... he does seem confident in my iguana's chances. (Note the posessive 'my' in these posts already.. these things ARE addictive, aren't they!?).

I'm guessing at the measurements, but trying to be as accurate/realistic as I can here.

He is right about 11" - 12" SVl and 30" overall. His tail has broken off about 10 " down and regrown so that's not an accurate measurement. He weighs 1173 grams. I don't know what the relates to in pounds, but I dare say, not much.

My little Carlos is 10" SVL and 28" overall, and he weighs at least twice as much.

More good news... little punk tried to bite me and he did knock some sense into me. Twice. Felt like a broomstick on top of my head. I suppose the feistiness is a sign he's regaining SOME strength (and attitude).

He is by far the most BEAUTIFUL turquoise blue I have ever seen.. all over, too. Even on his belly. He's a definite stud.

Blood test back in 1-2 days, fecal test to be done whenever he decides to let it go. I think he's saving up for Christmas, though :>
