I would say that the sooner the better. Even if they just need a "tiny" trim-don't know how old your ig is- they will get used to it and be easier when he/she is a giant green monster! LOL

P.S. You should probably have someone help hold while you clip so you your wriggly iggy won't get hurt accidentally!
