Some of the symptoms of hypocalcemia or beginning of MBD...include tetany "shakes" inability of truncal lifting "cannot stand on front legs", dragging rear legs....and/or rubber jaw(simple test...get a pencil with an eraser..and gently push on his lower jaw, if it is pliable not rigid then calcium deficency is suspect).Take your iguana outside and watch it ambulate. If any problem with ambulation, dragging its rear legs, not hyperextending his front legs...chances are..you got MBD going on. He needs to be seen by a herp vet...who will perscribe..CALCIUM injections to get him going. Follow up at home is diet correction giving foods high in calcium & low phosphorus, a phosphorus free calcium supplement, and lots & lots of sunshine! Takes weeks, months before any notable improvement. Here are a few links to help you find a herp vet. Good luck to you
