I had saved this off to mail to another friend re building up sick or recovering iguanas. It was recommended by Alta Brewer and is the same recommendation as I've seen made by Melissa Kaplan from both/either on the Iguana Mailing List. Apparently it is something that can be used short term with no ill effects. Here's the quote:

"How emaciated is she? If she's very emaciated, I would supplement with the Ensure slurry-- 1 can Ensure Plus + 1 banana + vitamins/calcium. Use regular Ensure if you think she's still dehydrated."

Since this guy is eating you may be able to get him to lap it up out of a water bowl. If not, try pouring it over his food.

This iguana reminds me sooo much of Devo when Juby & Skinny first got him. Maybe they have more tips on bulking up.

And as I probably don't need to tell you....sunshine sunshine sunshine :o)
