Salmonella is a gastrointestinal bacteria transmitted by ingestion NOT blood body. WASH YER HANDS WASH YER HANDS WASH YER HANDS!!! Salmonella infection can get so bad it can invade and get into the bloodstream thru the intestinal walls but that is pretty rare. You could however get a some other nasty organism intro'd because of a scratch, bite or cut...but it wouldn't be salmonella.
