Really, I agree with BabyHerp there is no difference. However you do need to be sure that with the wattage you have put in that you have not screwed up the temperture gradient in your enclosure. Just check to be sure that your basking temp is within appropriate ranges and that the ig still has a cool side of the tank to retreat to.
Also do not leave it on at night as a heat source. Your ig may have difficulty sleeping with the light it produces and become stressed. If you find that it does not stay warm enough at night with it off you should come up with something else that does not produce white light.
