While there are some books that suggest that certain foods may enhance the color of an iguana in captivity, there is no better way to promote good color than to promote good overall health!
Here is a picture of one of our females (Mel) -the photo has NOT been color enhanced! That is how she looks -even through all this egg laying nonsense she has still retained her pretty blue face! She has a large enclosure, is fed a wide variety of greens, veggies and fruits, kept well hydrated and is kept warm and humid. Since, and this is to the best of my knowledge, if anyone knows otherwise please let me know, iguanas do not absorb things through their skin rubbing vitamins, creams and/or lotions and potions on them will do little to nothing to change their appearance.
