How old is your iguana? If older.. jealousy and territoriality issues; behavioral aggression come to mind with your blessed arrival. If your iguana is caged and Mom is doing care for it...she will need to be super cautious when feeding the iguana & cleaning his cage, using good handwashing right after. If you don't have a cage nows the time to start building one or looking for one!Lots of people have iguanas with new arrivals/babies/childern and live harmoniously but caution & good handwashing are vital! Free roaming iguanas can spread salmonella bacteria by climbing, walking around like on sofas, carpets...and if baby drops bottle...you'll have to be sterilizing things all the time.Salmonella is spread fecal->oral. Childern under 10 are at highest risk of contamination. Here's a website for you on Salmonella...it will give you the facts...unlike media that tend to grossly exagerate the truth(sometimes).
