Bull snake x black rat snake update

Well,

The little guy received a clean bill of health from the vet, and shed on Sunday. He slammed a fuzzy rat, so cheers for a healthy feeding response!

He is an interesting mix of rat and bull snake. The head looks like a bull from the dorsal view, but laterally resembles more of a rat snake. The pattern on much of the body is classic rat, but a few inches before the end of the tail resmbles the bull. The background coloring is more black rat, although the dorsal blotches have the bull tint. I have not heard him hiss lke a bull, but the tail vibration is present. Despite this behavior, he is very gentle. His scales have a keeled appearance and texture, but the belly is more like the rat snake. I can't wait to take him out in warm weather and see if he can climb trees like his rat ancestors.

One question: How large will this snake get?

I'll try to get pics up soon.
