:Mark, milksnake nuts will cease to talk to you if they found out you were even suggesting this, lol. More to the point, several of us have attempted(few successfully)this particular cross. I tried several years ago in my attempt to try and prove coastals deserve ssp validation. Carl Bartlett WAS successful years ago as well but if you ask either of us if it would be WORTHWHILE doing we would both vehemently oppose it. There are plenty of intergrades from crosses already out there to begin with, the resulting offspring are by no means striking animals, and most importantly you will then be lumped into a breeder catagory(right or wrong)that would automatically limit your ability to move not just your hybrids but ANY of your future offspring.
: Just as a anecdote here, my attempts were all fruitless as they just dont "smell" right to each other..in my experience. Jeff
:I was sure I would get a few responses to this. I really never intended to cross the 2, just was trying to get some info from people who have done it. I pride myself on keeping as close to "pure" animals as I can. I have also long felt (with no real scientific data to back me up) that coastals deserve their own (at least) ssp. status. My exp. w/ scarlet kings has also led me to feel they need their own specific status. Again, just my opinion. Thanks for input.
