I totally agree about the watersnake. The largest one that bit me was only three feet though. Still painfull. lol

:I wanted to get some pictures of the so called "rear fangs" of Thamnophis so I headed out to find a ribbon snake (we do not have garters in my area). I found one with in about 5 minutes, picked it up, and let it just chew in. I got some nice pictures of the bite, and you could see that they do have some nice enlarged teeth at the far corners of their mandible. Made for a good picture and story. You havn't had a bite though until you have been tagged by a 4 foot watersnake...that is just downright painful lol. Andy
