I have a young flapneck chameleon (Frankie) who likes to take walks outside of his cage on occasion. I can put my finger in his cage and if he wants to come out he will. The other day I did this but I had painted my finger nails the night before (something I rarely do ). At first he reached for my finger like he always does then he saw the dark polish on my nail. He pulled back, put his flaps up, puffed up, and bit my finger. It was so funny seeing him act all big and tuff I didn't even realize that my finger hurt. That is the first time any of my lizards has bitten me. I guess Frankie likes the natural look.
