Thank you for sharing your story, I apreciate your efforts in helping hurt animals. I don't find the pain of any living thing humorous, and that includes your pain as well. I'm not trying to come down on you or anything, I'm just sorry for you and the squirrel for the traumatic experience.
It is too bad that others can't get over the surface appearance of another and see what that person can teach us, but that's a fact of life. Don't let it distract you and don't let it change you.
