the rat is doing great she had 8 babies but only 4 are still alive the owners are very happy the rat is ok. when i wrote this post i really didnt think it would cause such a big issue. it was just meant to be a funny storry. yeah we all spend outrageous amouts of$$ (i have spent over 4000 this year so far, the rat owner would laugh if they knew 400 was on a snake) on vet care its part of pet ownership and our responsibility in no way did i mean to come across that the owners shouldnt have done it. I just thought that a bunch a reptile owners would see humor in spending that $$ on a rat when alot of us use rats as food.

: I guess the question now is did the rat make it? Sure, the pople spent an outrageous amount on the rat, but look how much we spend to keep a $15 green iguana alive-I just think it would be a shame to spend that much and not have it survive. Whatever we think, hopefully it pulled through.
