Last night my anery KSB "Samara" managed to shove the lid off her cage (behavior I would expect more from my pythons). The cage is on top of a bookcase and she was trying to get to the ground. It was so amusing I had to watch. She would fold herself over a shelf, then sloooooowly let her upper body dangle down to the next shelf, fall, get confused and hide in the corner for a few minutes, and then start over again and drop to the next shelf. KSBs are so cautious. Any other snake would probably just leap off the top shelf no matter how high. I felt bad picking her up and putting her back in the cage (now with a very heavy dictionary on top) when she was done, she worked so hard to get to the floor.
