A friend of mine was in a pet shop in southern Iowa that had a fair sized python for sale. The cage said "Burmese python" and a price. She went to the store owner and explained that it was an African rock python, and far more aggressive than the average Burm. The owner argued with her, so she grabbed a snake book off the store's shelf(about feet from the snake) and showed him the difference. His response"well, maybe that's why I get bit every time I open the cage".
