:Is anyone able to give me a positive ID on this horned lizard? I live in the UK and bought it as a "Texas Horned Lizard", but would like a clarification.

:...also, can anyone give me a few pointers on the captivity reqirements, I have been told that they like it hot and dry but some actual measurements would be appreciated.

It is the desert horned lizard(p. platyrhinos). Yes, they like hot and dry. Directly under the heat light should be 110 F. The cool end should be in the 80s F. Night temps can drop to the 70s. During Oct. - Feb. make sure to drop both day and night temps by 20 F. Offer water once a month during the active season(Mar. - Sept.) by lightly misting the head and body. Ants and small beetles and larvae, as well as grasshoppers work well for food.Jeff
