As far as wild caught individuals, I think different species react differently, I have found the Pacifics to be the most able to adapt to captivity......some of the other species seem to "stress" and never get passed it.

I think that every individual will react different to new surroundings. You can have 2 animals of the same species, and one might be doing fine while the other is not.. different populations live in different microhabitats, no matter how similar these look they are always different.
