All 3 of my HLs have different patterns:

Styra- sleeps buried in the sand for days at a time then will come out for a day or two then will sleep for awhile again.

Carno-Sleeps for a day comes out for a day or two then seleeps for another day.

Ally-Is out almost every single day.

As for eating I put the ants in and they dissapear since all 3 are in the cage together I assume whoever is awake eats the ants.

As for temps it gets about 68-71 degrees at night. I have had the heat lamp during the day but not for 12 hours.

Hope that helps.
