Another question about feeding hl babies

IS there anything wrong with feeding them pin head crickets? Although our California HL's are large enough to eat ants, I have fed them pin head crickets as an offering but not as a main food source, and I also take a few red ants and roll them in my finger, you have to have the technique, but this usually incapacitates them enough that a baby will come up on the ants and eventually slurp them down. I think the big thing is not to put several ants that are hot in the cage as they start running around and startles and stresses the little HL's, or that seems to be my perspective on there reaction. I have also given them very small pincher bugs, and yes the good old common house fly as well, and they seem to eat all of these, but ant's are their favorites, but I think when they are this small they'll eat what ever is small enough and not percieved as dangerous.
