Although, i do have some HLs that like to bathe after brumation.
And, i have a couple HLs that use this 'death-trap' as a convenient way to corral and inhale ants, LOL. Slurp! They suck the ants' little struggling booties right-out of the water :)
Ants and misting are the best sources of H2O for HLs.
?There are too many reasons why an HL will stop eating ants. You'll have to be more specific and provide history and husbandry practices before anyone can help you with that one.

:How important is a water bowl? I haven't seen my HL's use it and it was become a death trap for ants. Also my HL's quit eating ants last week any ideas as to why? I have P. platyrhinos.
