:does anyone know where I can get a harvester ant queen, I live in a state where they are native.

:Dillon, why do you want a Harvester Ant Queen if they are native to your state? If they are native to your state, go out and find one. What genus-species Harvester Ant Queen are you looking for? There are literally several hundred different "harvester" ants in North America. If you have intentions of "starting" a captive colony, you will need to do some major research. Ant colonies do not just "start" anywhere. You might want to read "Ants at Work" by Deborah Gordon. It is a very interesting resource and study. Lester G. Milroy III
