HL..so confused

we have a new pet.. A Horned Lizard..not sure of the type..but now after reading...just dont kno what to do....is calci or repti-sand at the pet store ok?? we live in CT. are little black ants ok or not enuff?? of course there are red ants, but i read that they r not good...the pet store that we got ir from just said ants, never said "harvester ants"..bit off more than i can chew i think..please help..contact me directly at leelalar@aol.com thanx so much
