: Anyone know why my HF will bury himself for much of the day and night? He totally submerges himself in the sand for much of the time in his cage. Is he(she) trying to tell me something? Please advise.
:Colin, your HF (horned frog), aka "horned toad" and "horny toad", if that is what you are refering to, is burying itself because that is what they do. Think of it as pulling the blanket over your head when you go to sleep. Also, it is that time of the season when horned lizards go into a summer hibernation period. It is what they do. Lester G.
