: :Yes there are ant species in Spokane that HLs will eat. The Shorthorned Lizard is in the area. It sounds like a carpenter ant species that you have described and they are acceptable. If you could get a small sample and send them to me, or a fairly clear picture, I can probably get an ID on them. Lester G. Milroy III

i fed all the ants to the hls these ants are however, aggressive.. i also have these big black ants with brown thorax's can u please send me a pic of soem of the ants in spokane that can be eaten?
