: Hello again, I seem to be having some problems making our new HL happy. I am experimenting with different local ants trying to find some he likes. In the mean time I orderd some harvesters from antsalive.com. He doesn't seem to be interested. he can't have eaten more than a dozen ants in the last 4 days. More often than not he is getting stung by the ants. I am only feeding 4-5 ants at a time. Any thoughts on how to get this guy to eat? When you feed yours do they dive right in? I haven't actually seen this one eat anything. I can only assume that he is because the ants are gone.
: Thanks

:Shane, are you keeping the ants refrigerated and then offering still cold? My captive group waits anxiously when they see me coming with the ant container and eat without any proding. Where are you located? Your local ants may not be on the "menu." I have offered ants that come from all over the southwest and there is no hesitation by my captive group on eating the ants offered. (30+ different species of ants). Lester G. Milroy III
