Just want to make it clear that I was not advocating the use of Solenopsis as a food source. As Lester noted S. invicta is an esp. dangerous ant to deal with. However that does not alter the fact that HLs can and will eat Solenopsis xyloni and probably other species as well...

This does not mean that they go out of their way to prey on this ant species just that do use it as a resource when available.
