breeding desert horned lizards

I have recieved mixed reviews on this one. I have a pair of horned lizards. I was told the cycle should go 60-90 days at 50-56 degrees F.(sounds rdiculous, i know) but if thats the way it goes, then I'll do it. Also, should feeding and lighting remain the same during the cycle. anyone's information will be appreciated. thank you
