I havent read it yet (I cant get the link to work) but someone brought to my attention that it said he used silica sand for bedding, Im just here to tell you not to use silica sand because it is pretty much glass, Silica sand (industrial sand) is a high-purity quartz (SiO2) sand deposited by natural processes. Depending on its chemical and physical characteristics, silica sand is used as glass sand, foundry sand, abrasives, fillers, and hydraulic fracturing sand (also termed "frac" sand by the petroleum industry).
Also most gut impactions that happened to herps is from silica.
So go for something more natural.
