: it has this bright silver coating(like a layer of wax over it) around the bulb which is different then the flood i had before it blew up....and the surface at the end of the bulb where the light comes out is rough(like bumps) instead of smooth surface like the flood bulb I had before. If you are using this kind of bulb can you tell me what yours look like?? if you are using a spot light can you show me a pic so I can make sure that this is a spot bulb?? thank you all.

:"Froggie", I have used Chromalux clear spots for years and they work excellent. I have had no problems with them whatsoever, and my captive study HLs show very positive results from their use. Lester G. Milroy III
