: hi everyone, the people i got it from told me some tips but id like to get some info from experienced horny toad owners. please tell me the do's and dont's. thanks a whole bunch

:Marc, first of all you need to know that the Texas Horned Lizard, Phrynosoma cornutum, is a protected species, if that is what you actually have. If it is a Roundtail Horned Lizard, Phrynosoma modestum, from Texas, the only legal place to get Roundtails, it is a very difficult species to care for in captivity, as are most all of the horned lizards. First, you need to find out what species the horned lizard is to be sure you have a "legal" species. Second, well, lets deal with the first, first. When you find out, post again and we will go from there. Lester G. Milroy III
