I agree that most people shouldnt keep these creatures but the point i was getting to is that there will be people keeping them (educated and uneducated) and there isn't many care sheets out there on these animals, and adding the care in would help.
Now, mimicing the habitat is a fine idea but I get tons of e-mails asking how to care for Iggies,
many species of turtles and tortoises, and even more of snakes and lizards (including horneds) and 90% of these animals asked for care have tons of well written books, articles, magazines, ect. on them. So it would help.

: I don't think it would be a smart thing to put such things on a website that isn't promoting keeping these animals. But what is better than to read about the wild habitat of these animals.
: If you perfectly mimic that you have the best setup you can think of. I'm sure Lester will put something about habitatpreferences on his website.

: : ornedlizards.com is in the works and should be up and running by mid-April. I hope. It has been a long process and I am covering as much as possible to start the site. Some may not like it because it does not promote keeping horned lizards as "pets." It will provide ID for the different species and subspecies and their ranges. It will also provide the most current status for each species in their respective states. I will also keep folks updated on past, current and future studies concerning horned lizards and their biology and ecology. I will also be presenting information about the Horned Lizard Research and Conservation Nature Center that is in the middle part of ideation and development. I am looking for folks with ideas and establishing board members to make this a major center for study. Any comments? Let me know. Lester G. Milroy III
