:Suprise, Suprise, Suprise!!!! I walked in to check on my Southerns to find that one of my adult pairs was locked up!!! that was at 0800. I checked up on them hourly to track copulation time. They remained locked up until 1900. That's 11 hours!!! I'm so happy! my female is about 19 inches and has great body weight so I'm hoping on a good egg count. I currently have 5 pairs and will be expecting a lot better results next year! Southern hognose are my absolute favorite snakes. They are GREAT!, a truely enjoyable snake to work with. I've got some really great pictures that I'd like to share with everyone, but I don't know how to post them here without the browse option. I'll keep everyone posted.

Sorry for my previous non-message. My female S. hog (19.5") laid 15 eggs last year. She's 21" this year and gravid, so she might beat her record clutch from last year. Let us know how many eggs your female lays. I've never had my hogs hook up for that long.
