This guy is actually a captive hatched male (sad story). They are about 8mo old and have been doing very well so far, but this is definitely new! One thing I have noticed is that now that they are in a larger enclosure with a substrate to hide in, they have become much more territorial than before. I find they like being bothered even less than usual, as I beleive thay are more comfortable and secure in their bigger home. So, maybe I caight him off guard, or he really just didn't want company on that day!

I will get this checked out to see what my vet thinks!

Thanx!

:Just spit huh? I have them regurge a fair amount after I catch them in the wild...they will toss up toads while in the bags. I would think if there is no other discharge and the snake appears in good order, it should not be harmful but the snake should be watched closely for a few weeks just in case it is something. Since the snake is probably WC, I would get it to the vet either way soon. Andy
